ORPHAN: Haja Z. Kamara – Approximately 11-12 years old
Another New Gbateh Welcomed to the Family
Amazing things have been happening in Lungi, Sierra Leone and G. Phillip May Minsitries has been on the front line battling for miraculous transitions in the lives of many children. After Pastor Phil’s recent trip to the orphanage in Lungi, it is noticeable that the work is proving fruitful, indeed. Pastor Jacob Gbateh is so thrilled and thankful to have the building and space to provide care for orphans and that’s exactly what he has done for Haja Kamara.
Pastor Jacob ran into a group of devastated people to find this young girl crying over her lifeless mother. The woman had died earlier that day, and as Jacob walked to the child, she cried, “What am I going to do? This was my only mother and the one who helped me go to school!”
Jacob approached her closer and moved with compassion, he took her under his wing and told her he wanted to help. She has been excelling in class four. Haja comes from a Muslim background and has now accepted Christ and is part of the children’s ministry, where she sings. Jacob foresees her to be a worship leader, as she is always calling children together to sing praise and worship songs.
Situations like Haja Kamara’s occur every day in third world countries, and when God provides a door of opportunity, and someone feels led to help make this possible, it’s a beautiful thing. And there is no doubt that your contributions to G. Phillip May Ministries are making enormous differences in the lives of so many children on a daily basis. Every person counts, and souls are being won to the Kingdom, one simple contribution and step of faith at a time.
G. Phillip May Ministries is wholeheartedly committed to furthering the gospel in this impoverished area by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of the people, and pray for continued support as they seek to see lives won for the Kingdom.
